The idea of SnapNest photography was conceived during the THEN + NOW project for the Architectural Association of Kenya during their 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2016. Under their theme of "looking back and moving forward" the assignment given was simple; to show the architectural evolution of Nairobi over the years through recreating old photos of the city. Soon after, the THEN + NOW project inspired the creation of a documentation company to fill in a gap in the Kenyan building and construction market. The gap was that of photographing and documenting Architectural and Engineering works in the country and hopefully the world with time. Here therein begins the story of SnapNest Photography.
